| April 26, 2012 12:34 PM

Lois Glendora Edwards Albert was born May 1, 1930. She passed away from this life to the next to be with her eternal husband and companion, George Thomas Albert, on April 7, 2012.

Lois was a long-time resident of the Troy area. She was active in her community. She drove school bus for the McCormick School District for many years and later served on the McCormick School Board as member and chairman.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was deeply involved in family history research and spent many hours in the temple in service for her ancestors.

She overcame a lot in her life. More than 70 percent of her body was burned in an accident when she was only 2 years old, she contracted polio in her early teens (she continued to suffer with post-polio syndrome the rest of her life) and was diagnosed with asbestosis more than 10 years ago.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband George Thomas Albert, son Patrick Allen Albert and an infant daughter.

She leaves behind with much grief her daughter-in-law Valerie Albert, of Libby; daughter Dianna and son-in-law Wade Smith of Beatty, Nev.; son Clifford Albert of Mesa, Ariz.

Grandchildren include Scott Albert, Michelle Bybee, Patrick Smith, Caresse Burgess, Alan Smith, Christopher Albert, Felicia Albert, Alexander Albert and Joseph Albert. Lois’s posterity includes seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. April 18, 2012, at the Troy Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Graveside service will follow at the Holmes Family cemetery on Pine Creek.
