Richard A. Curtis, 52, of Libby

Richard Allan Curtis, 52, a life time Libby resident died Tuesday March 27, 2012 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.  

He was born Dec. 3, 1959, in Libby to Ronald and Dorothy  Curtis.  He grew up and attended school in Libby. 

Rick started logging shortly after high school and had worked for TBC Timber, Inc., and Owens.  He enjoyed growing up at the base of Sheldon Mountain, hunting, fishing and horses.  

His father, Ron Curtis, brother  Glen Curtis and step-dad Daniel Snyder preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his three sons, Dustin Curtis,  Brandon Curtis and wife Rachel both of Belgrade, Mont.; Ryan Curtis of Bozeman, Mont.; mother Dorothy Berg and husband Dale of Libby; sisters Tammy Hovland of Port Orchard, Wash.; Star Williams of Libby;  step-brother Danny Ray Snyder of Libby; numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held.  

Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
