Ida B. Williamson, 62, of Libby

| April 5, 2012 7:45 AM

We lost a wonderful mother, grandma, sister and friend to many on March 22, 2012.

Ida Burns Williamson was born Aug. 27, 1949, to Eddy and Alice Burns in Roy, Wash.

They moved to Thompson Falls until she was 8 and then to Libby where she grew up.

Excelling in the high school band playing the French horn, she received a scholarship for her efforts.

After graduating high school, she vacationed in Washington where she met the love of her life, Rod Williamson.  After spending two years in Orcas Island, Wash., they moved back to Libby where they made their home and had their girls April and Tracey.

Ida loved life and people.  Everyone she met became a friend.  She enjoyed going to yard sales, spending time with her grandchildren, and having big family get togethers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rod Williamson; her parents; and her brothers Paul and Sandy Burns.

Survivors include her daughters April Williamson of Libby and Tracey Clemons and husband, Jeremy of Orting, Wash.; adopted daughter Alice Jones and husband, Ben, of Olympia, Wash.; grandchildren Haley, Austin and Jacquelin Kurle of Libby; a brother, Dan Burns, and girlfriend Rhoda Richardson of Troy, Mont.; sisters Patsy Hendrickson of Libby; Oneeta Stevens and husband, Bill, of Rochester, Wash.; Kim Burns of Rochester, Wash.; and many other relatives and close friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Amish Community Center with a reception to follow.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory of Libby.
