Former resident questions accident

Letter to the Editor,

I am a former long-time resident of

Troy, Montana who currently resides in Ohio. I am also a subscriber

to The Western News which provides me with both local and county

news.

I find certain parts of the article

appearing in the Aug. 17 issue of the paper concerning the accident

of Patrick Faulkner to be lacking in credibility. In my view and in

the manner in which the article is written, far too much emphasis

is placed in the effort to exonerate Patrick of the accident as

nowhere in the article does it give a plausible explanation for the

cause of the collision.

If the article is intended to be taken

verbatim I think it should include the fact that Patrick’s father

is the undersheriff of Lincoln County. By excluding pertinent

information the story not only is misleading but also smacks of a

cover up.
