Carol E. Delaney 87, of Libby

Carol Eve Delaney died Oct. 17, 2011,

at home. She was born in Iron River, Wis., to Henry and Stella

Martell on Dec. 24, 1923.

She met Bill Delaney on his

grandfather’s ranch in the Sweet Grass Hills in Toole County,

Mont., and they were later married.

Carol had two brothers and two sisters

who were orphaned at an early age and her older sister raised the

younger brother, Forest.

She had an older brother, now deceased,

Albert Martell; sister Ruby (Martell) Ward of Libby and older

sister Dona (Martell) Laas.

Survivors include her son, Rod Delaney,

of Libby, granddaughters Bethany Delany, and Kelley Parsons and

Steve.

She went on several missionary trips to

Mexico. Her pastor was an reformed outlaw motorcyclist.

There will be a memorial service at 4

p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Libby Assembly of God Church, with

a reception afterward.
