Linda J. Adkison 64, of Libby

Linda J. Adkison, 64, a lifelong Libby

resident died peacefully at her home in Libby after a three-year

battle with Multiple Myeloma.

She was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Libby to

Emil and Mildred Chapman Turner.

She grew up and attended school in

Libby and graduated from Libby High School with the class of 1964.

She married Robert Adkison on June 30, 1967, in Libby.

Linda owned and operated the Christian

Book & Gift Store for many years. She also operated the JC

Penney catalog store and Memory Lane Antiques.

She and her husband opened their home

to several foster children during the years.

Linda loved time spent with her

grandchildren. Books and antique collecting brought her many hours

of enjoyment. She was dedicated to supporting many missionary

groups in many countries. Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Robert

Adkison, of Libby; children Carlton Adkison and wife Robin of

Spokane, Wash.; Jennifer Smith and husband Tyler of Meridian,

Idaho; Eldon Adkison of Libby; a sister Betty Sikes of Troy, Mont.;

seven grandchildren Moriah, Parker, Macey, Alyssa, Myles, Bode,

Tommy.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday Oct.

14, 2011, at at The Assembly of God Church in Libby.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m.

Thursday at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
