Jimmy D. Rebelskey 76, of Libby

Jimmy Dale Rebelskey, 76, of Libby died Friday Nov. 4, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby from natural causes.  

He was born May 7, 1935, in Clinton, Iowa, to James and Marcella Rebelskey.  He grew up and attended school in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School.  

He served in the U.S.  Marines from February  1956 to February  1958.  

After the service he worked as an electrician and followed construction jobs.  He worked on the Libby Dam in the ’70s.  

He retired in the middle ’90s and then returned to Libby in 1996.  He enjoyed hunting fishing and coin collecting.

He was a loving father.  A son, Terry, and one grandchild preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children Debbie Rebelskey; Vickie Rebelskey Michael Rebelskey all of Iowa City, Iowa; Darcy O’Bleness and husband, Keith, of Libby; Rhonda Burling and husband David of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Debbie Frew and husband John of Sacramento, Calif.; Audrey O’Bleness and husband Tom of Libby; Carolyn Wates and husband,  Phil, of Geneseo, Ill.; a sister, Donna Vienis, Reno, Nev.;  numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private family services were held.  

Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
