Changes for all Libby residents

Changes for all Libby residents using analog televisions are coming to their channels on Thursday, Nov. 10, because the local translator is being converted to a digital signal.

Residents will need to purchase either a digital television or a digital-television-converter box (DTV) to continue watching channels KXLY, KPAX and KCFW. Later in the month channels KUFM and KSPS will also be converted to digital.

All changes will take effect by December. More than nine channels will be added to the Libby area with a potential for more in the future.

All persons with a digital television or DTV users will need to “scan” for the new channels. Converter boxes must have “analog pass through.” DTVs can be purchased locally at Radio Shack, Sears and Pamida.
