Hospice information, training to begin

The first session of the annual St.

John’s Hospice Information and Volunteer Training Series will begin

on Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m., at the St. John’s Conference

Center.

Additional sessions in the series will

be held on Thursday, March 10, Saturday, March 12 and Tuesday,

March 15. An orientation for those who choose to become active

volunteers for hospice will be held on Thursday, March 17.

The interactive sessions use video,

guest speakers and discussion to explore a variety of topics

relating to illness, hospice medical benefits, caregiving,

communication and navigating the final seasons of life. The

sessions are free, refreshments will be served, and all interested

individuals are welcome to attend without obligation to become a

volunteer.
