Ronald P. Willis

Ronald Perry Willis, 71, died on June 5, 2011, at his residence in Libby. 

He was number eight of 11 boys to Edward and Bulah Willis on Jan. 6, 1940, in Webster Springs, W. Va.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960 where he was stationed in Korea.

Upon returning to the United States he met and married Nancy Belyea and together had four children. He was employed in the service industry for many years.

In 1983, he married his best friend and soulmate Lynne Boyce.

Together they moved to Libby where Ron enjoyed his favorite pastime, fishing along the banks of the beautiful Kootenai River and many area creeks. 

He started Ron’s Appliance Repair Service in 1985 and over the years came to be known for his quality work and integrity.

He was a wonderful husband and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife Lynne Willis, Libby; a brother Don Willis and wife Loretta, Nashville, Tenn.; his children Kristi Edwards and husband Leroy, Louisville, Kentucky; Ken Willis and wife Melissa, Rancho Murieta, Calif.; Ron Willis, Jr. and wife Alicia, Libby, Mont.; Kerri McCully and husband Brett, Troy, Mont.; step children Cliff Hammer and wife Lisa, San Diego, Calif.; Mark Hammer and wife Mardi, Hoquiam, Wash.; and Christy Longworth and husband Steve, Copalis Beach, Wash.; 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
