Marjorie D. Caldwell

Marjorie D. Caldwell, 68, of Libby died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at her home in Libby from natural causes. 

She was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Black Mountain, N.C. to Floyd & Lottie (Odham) Staley. 

She grew up and attended school in Eden and Fortville, Ind.  She graduated from high school in 1960. 

She served in the U.S. Army during the height of the Cold War and the Bay of Pigs. 

She was stationed at the Pentagon as an administrative assistant.  

She married William Caldwell in 1969 in Missoula, Mont., and   they moved to Libby in 1980. 

She was an accomplished artist who had a passion for oil painting. 

Her Christian faith was very important to her. 

Survivors include her husband Bill Caldwell, Libby, Mont.; a son Royden Caldwell and wife Angela, Eureka, Mont.;  a sister Lois Hurd, of Monticello, Ky.;  sister Gale Brawner and husband Carlis, and  grandchildren Ashley, Brianna; and nieces and nephews Darlene, Chris and John.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Family Worship Center, 2425 Highway 37 in Libby. 

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
