Robert A. Jacky, 81, of Libby

Robert Allyn Jacky, 81, a longtime Libby resident died Wednesday July 20, 2011, at his home in Libby from natural causes. 

He was born March 10, 1930, in Missoula, Mont., to Louis and Mabel Tyrell Jacky. 

He attended school in Missoula and graduated from Missoula County High School with the class of 1948. 

He Married Marcia Mueller on March 21, 1959, in Missoula. 

Bob worked as the juvenile probation officer in Libby for many years.  He served on the Libby City Council for more than 20 years.

He also served on the Selective Service Board, Rural Fire Board, Western Montana Mental Health Board and was the past president of the Western Correction Board.  He was a charter member of the Elks and a member of the Moose Lodge.

His parents and a sister Phyllis Aronson preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Marcia Jacky of Libby; children Barbara Yarger and husband Doug of Libby; Steven Jacky and wife Tina of Libby; Susan Jacky of Libby; Brain Jacky of Kalispell, Mont;

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday Aug. 5, 2011, at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. 

Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
