Connie D. Bresee, 79, of Libby

| July 20, 2011 10:58 PM

Connie Dorene Bresee, 79, passed away July 5, 2011, at her home in Libby.

She was born June 1, 1932, in Great Falls, Mont., to Burton and Marjorie Olson.  She was later joined by a sister, Myra, and three brothers, Larry, Richard and Michael.

After graduating from high school in Great Falls, she moved to California with her aunt Irene and uncle Jim Ray.

There she studied the truths from the Bible and dedicated her life to the service of her great and majestic God, Jehovah.

She was a faithful Witness and spent countless hours helping people learn the Good News of the Kingdom.

On Feb. 11, 1983, Connie married Charles Bresee in Great Falls, Mont.

They later moved to Libby.  Connie will be remembered by those she leaves behind as “Gaga,” the grandma with all the answers to whatever is ailing you; as a wife; a mother; a grandmother; and a friend to many.

While she loved to study God’s Word, she will also be remembered in her easy chair doing crossword puzzles and cryptograms by the warmth of her wood stove.

She confidently looked to the future when Jehovah God the Giver of Life will bury death forever.

What a blessing it will be when we can rightly ask:  “Death where is your victory? Death where is your sting?”  Connie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael and Richard; and her oldest daughter, Michele “Shelly” Dorene Rogers.

Survivors include her husband, Charles of Libby; children Kathleen Moniz of Libby; Timothy Rogers, Jolee Clark, and Corey Rogers all of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother Larry (Hallie) Olson of Fort Shaw, Mont.; a sister Myra (Gene) Schilling of Shelby, Mont.; grandchildren Tiffany, Joshua, Janel, Brandon, Keevin, Kevin, Sean and Rachelle; and great-grandchildren Ceya, Colby, Nani, Dylan, Tucker, Corban, Lotus, and Lily.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 55 Kootenai River Road in Libby.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory of Libby.
