The Paint It Pink program at St. John’s

Lutheran Hospital in Libby this year will provide 25 free

mammograms to uninsured women in southern Lincoln County, hospital

marketing manager KC Hoyer announced last week.

To qualify, women must be referred by a

health-care provider, live in zip codes 59923 or 59935, have no

health insurance and be under age 50.

Women over age 50 are encouraged to

apply to the Montana Cancer Screening Program – formerly the

Montana Breast and Cervical Health Program – by calling Kristina

Elkins at 406-751-8226. For those over age 50 who can show that

they did not qualify for the Montana Cancer Screening Program, they

will then be eligible for the Paint It Pink program.

Health-care providers are well versed

on which program to use.

St. John’s and Glacier Bank teamed up

to lead the Paint It Pink fundraising effort. The hospital and

North West Imaging also provides discounts.

For more information about the Paint It

Pink free mammography program, call Hoyer at 293-0106.
