Letter: Sledders 'take care of each other'
Dear Editor:
I would like to thank Northwest
Motorsports for sponsoring the ride clinic with professional
snowmobiler Bret Rassmussen last weekend.
It was a great experience to be out
there and observe and learn from one of the best riders in the
sport. NWMS is doing a great service to the sledding community by
bringing Bret to Libby and I for one hope that it will be an annual
event.
While the clinic was awesome, I have to
say that I saw firsthand that the level of service from the team at
NWMS is truly top notch. I do not happen to ride an Arctic Cat and
ended up having an electrical issue with my sled while we were out
for the clinic. Thankfully, I was still able to participate as they
had brought several demo sleds out and everyone was more than
willing to offer a chance to ride.
But what I am truly grateful for is
that Trent and Brian and a few others who had been on the ride went
back in the next day in a total downpour to help me retrieve my
sled. That is the kind of service that money can’t buy.
Sure, there is always a lot of friendly
banter about what brand of sled is the best. The truth, if you ask
me, is that you can learn to ride any brand if you put in enough
time on it. It’s an awesome sport and I have been super impressed
by the way sledders take care of each other.
So, I just wanted to give a public
“thank you” to Tom, Trent and Brian. You’re awesome!
