Flood awareness, outreach event set

The Lincoln County floodplain

administrator and office of Emergency Services have joined together

to bring to Libby representatives of FEMA Region VIII and the

National Weather Service for a flood awareness and insurance

outreach presentation at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, March 1 in the

Ponderosa Room at Libby City Hall.

Community residents, insurance agents

and realtors are urged to attend to listen and talk about 2011

flood concerns for above-average snowpack, ice jamming and snowmelt

events, Flower Creek Dam and Flower, Parmenter and other Libby

creeks.
