Marjorie “Marge” Jewel Emma (Hand)

Panos, 79, of Redmond, Ore., and formerly of Troy, died of natural

causes on Friday, Feb. 4, at a care facility.

Marge passed away peacefully at

Brookside Place in Redmond surrounded by family. She was raised in

Troy by her parents, Charles “Hi” Beth Hand and Mabel Henrietta

Folden Hand. She grew up in the mountains of Montana with big

brother, Charles “Buck” Cree Hand, and her sister, Jean Lucille

Hand Hutchison.

She spent 44 wonderful years married to

Jack Panos. Marge and Jack spent many years in Troy and later in

life spent time in Great Falls, Beatty, Nev., and most recently

central Oregon.

Marge loved animals especially her

dogs, Rags, Bimbo, Maggie and Mike. A natural “green thumb,” she

loved plants and flowers, particularly African violets, which would

always flourish under her loving care. She loved playing cards,

especially “rummy,” and enjoyed crossword puzzles and other

challenging word games.

She was preceded in death by a son,

Jeff Jellison; her parents; and a brother, Charles “Buck” Cree Hand

in 2008.

She is survived by her husband, Jack

Panos of Redmond; five children, Dan Streeter (Sylvia) of Juneau,

Alaska; Dave Streeter (Ginny) of Bend, Ore.; Larry Jellison (Katie)

of Battle Ground, Wash.; Tina Panos Griffiths (Ron) of Fort Walton

Beach, Fla.; and Dawn Rene Panos Showalter (Jeff) of Moriarty,

N.M.; a sister, Jean Lucille Hand Hutchison of Willow, Alaska; a

daughter-in-law, Terrie Jellison of Helena; 21 grandchildren and

numerous great-grandchildren.
