Trojan boys post 2 more victories
The Troy High School boys basketball
team chalked up two more victories on Friday and Saturday by
downing Noxon and Plains.
The Trojans found themselves in a
battle for three quarters against Class C Noxon. The two schools
were tied, 40-40, with eight minutes remaining. In the fourth
quarter, however, Troy finished with a 13-5 run while playing
stellar defense.
In the final period, the Red Devils hit
just two field goals from the field.
Ryan Rayson, Cory Orr and Mikey
Ormiston lit up the scoreboard for 41 of Troy’s 52 points. Rayson
hit for 16, Orr scored 13 and Ormiston finished with 12.
The Trojans got off to a quick start
the following night in a 54-40 win over Plains. Troy held leads of
11-5 after the first and 24-11 at halftime. Plains managed just
three field goals in the first half. Following a lull in the third
quarter, the Trojans finished strong with 21 in the fourth.
Rayson had another good game scoring
with 17 points. Ormiston also continued to produce with 10
points.
Troy (5-2, 9-4) plays host to Misson on
Friday at 7 p.m. The Trojans will play at home again on Saturday
with a 6 p.m. matchup against Bigfork.
