Vincent Silvestri 63, of Libby

Vincent (Vince) L. Silvestri, 63, of Libby died Sunday Dec. 11, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital from natural causes. 

He was born May 10, 1948, in New Kensington, Pa., to Raymond and Ruth Miller Silvestri. 

Vince grew up and attended school in Las Vegas, Nev.,   He married Becky Seifman on Sept. 24, 1966, in Las Vegas. 

Vince worked odd jobs for a number of years before going to work as a carpenter.  He would later work as a finish carpenter. 

In 1977, he came to Libby and built his first house in Woodway Park.  He would return every year and build another house in Woodway Park. 

It was during those years Vince and Becky bought property up Quartz Creek and started building a home of their own.  Vince retired after 29 years as a carpenter in 2009, and he and Becky settled in their home on Quartz Creek. 

Vince enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, spending time with his grandson and nature. His son Charles Silvestri preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife Becky of Libby; a son James Silvestri of Las Vegas, Nev.; a grandson Cameron Burkes of Libby; and a sister Dorothy Owens and husband Joe of Oregon and numerous extended family.
