Libby Paving Project

Libby, Mont. – Paving will begin Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the McGillivray Recreation Area.  This work is part of a reconstruction project including campground and road improvements.

The paving contractor is out of Kalispell, and will be running several trucks over the McKillop Road, up the FDR to McGillivray and then back down Highway 37 through Libby.  If you are traveling on these roads please use caution.

All of the McGillivray Recreation area will be closed, including the boat launch and beach area, from 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, through 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.  All roadways, several trails, and all parking areas will be overlaid with pavement during this time.

The boat launch and beach area will be open for public use over the weekend.   Please contact the Libby Ranger District for the most current information at 293-7773.
