Sharon Ruby Lewis

| April 21, 2011 11:58 AM

Sharon Lewis passed away early Wednesday morning March, 16, 2011.

In the words of Dale Evans Rogers, 1992: and a few of our own,

Cowgirl is an attitude, really.

A Pioneer spirit, a special American brand of courage.

The cowgirl faces life head on, lives by her own lights and makes no excuses.

Cowgirls take stands. They speak up. They defend the things they hold dear.

A cowgirl might be a rancher, or a barrel racer, or a bull rider, or an actress.

But she’s just as likely to be a checker at the local store, a full time mother, a banker, an attorney or an astronaut.  “A Deputy Sheriff an Insurance Agent, a manager or a bartender.

We have lost the kindest, most warmhearted, generous woman we will ever know. She gave all of herself to us, and never asked anything in return.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister; and son Frank Joseph Lewis.

Survivors include aunt Claudine of California; great-niece Jennifer; great-nephews Winston and Stephen Hamilton of Idaho and many friends. She will be missed dearly every day of our lives.

Memorials may be directed to Moose Lodge #559, 218 South Main St., Livingston, MT 59047

Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Moose Lodge, 218 S. Main St., Livingston.
