Libby High School's football season came to an end Friday night with a 19-14 loss to Stevensville.

The Loggers got off to the perfect start when Kody Berget returned the game-opening kickoff 69 yards for a touchdown. But Stevensville responded and led 13-7 by the end of the first quarter.

Libby could never get its offense in sync. The Loggers' lone offensive touchdown came on fourth down when Berget punched it in from two yards out.

Stevensville capitalized on big plays by scoring a TD on fourth-and-13 and returning an interception 48 yards for another score.

The Yellowjackets maintained possession late in the fourth to keep Libby's offense from having much time for a rally. Stevi put together a 13-play drive that resulted in no points but took the clock down to just 16 seconds remaining when the Loggers took over.

Libby's season ends at 5-5.
