The Lincoln County Credit Union announced the availability of the Rural Montana Saves program to help families save for college, obtain career training and help pay for employment expenses through matched savings accounts.

For every $1 saved, the program matches it with $3. The maximum match is $1,500 for participants who save $500.

To qualify, applicants must meet certain income, location and age requirements. Participants need to live in or plan to attend college in a participating rural county and currently be within income guidelines.

For information, go online to www.montanacreditunions.coop, call Amy Johnson at 293-0307 or stop by Lincoln County Credit Union in Libby for an application.
