Thelma Marie Smith

Thelma Marie Smith (Falk), 61, passed away Oct. 18, 2010 in Libby at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital due to natural causes.

She was born Jan. 10, 1949 in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Junior Falk; husband, Rod Smith; and mother, Maria Bakk.

Thelma will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her, especially her children.

She is survived by Kara Belanger, Libby; Nicole Belanger-Wilde (Zeke), Libby; and James Van Horn III, Kalispell; grandchildren, Tesha, Amber, Melissa, Jessica, Sierra, Ayla and Kyra; siblings, Walter Falk, Randy Falk, Debbie Halkett, Suzan Asselin and Cynthia Bain; numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, cousins and in-laws.

A potluck and celebration of Thelma’s life will be held at Fireman’s Park in Libby at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 24.
