The Libby Care Center plans to hold three public events over this week and next week.

On Thursday, Oct. 21 from 2-3 p.m., the care center will host its “Red Hat Haunted Tea” with treats and the karaoke of Star Phillips. The event will include a contest for the red hat that has the best “hair-raising” effect.

On Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., the care center will hold a rummage and bake sale to benefit its Alzheimer’s/dementia special care unit. Items will be raffled, including a handmade quilt. For information, call Kandis Peterson at 293-6285.

On Friday, Oct. 29 from 7-8:30 p.m., care center residents invite children ages 10 and under to a Halloween Safety Carnival. Various area agencies will provide games and prizes  along with safety messages for children. Residents will judge costumes at 8:30 for first-, second- and third-place prizes.
