A local nonprofit is raising money this month to continue programs to raise awareness about and support people with brain injuries.

Members of the North Valley Support Groups–Traumatic Brain Injury are selling $3 “Mind Matters” buttons that they encourage the public to wear on Monday, Oct. 25 to show support during Brain Injury Awareness Month.

The organization serves Lincoln County communities by providing monthly support group meetings in Libby, Troy and Eureka, conducting educational programs and helping fund attendance to the Brain Injury Association of Montana’s annual conferences.

Buttons can be purchased from group members throughout the month or at the Rosauer’s lobby on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 1-4 p.m. To donate, visit www.nvsg.org or call 295-9753 or 293-6518.
