Lincoln County tobacco prevention specialist Barb Guthneck is encouraging the public to participate in a visual display planned next year for the Capitol Rotunda.

Guthneck said that each year, 1,400 Montanans die from tobacco-related causes. As such, 1,400 pairs of shoes will be displayed in the rotunda this coming March. People can go to the library in Libby or Troy by the end of December and put their name and perhaps a statement about tobacco deaths on a tag that will become part of the display.
