Henry O. Melich
Henry O. Melich, 76, of Libby died at home of natural causes on Thur-sday, Sept. 30, 2010.
He was born Aug. 30, 1934 in North Bend, Ore., to Frank and Evelyn Roth Melich. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Jennie Strong in September 1975. He worked in the woods setting chokers, as a cook at Denny’s and as a locksmith.
He moved to Libby in 1996. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, cutting wood and shooting pool. Henry was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He married Helen Holder in 2003.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; and stepdaughter-in-law, Susie Amos.
Survivors include a daughter, Christina; a son, Michael Ewing of Oregon; stepchildren, Sandra Adams and husband David of Libby; Tim Amos, Debbie Wallin and Randy Amos – all of Libby; Terry Amos and wife Deanie of Klamath Falls, Ore.; Kevin Amos and wife Nancy of Bigfork; and Kenny Amos and wife Helen of Weiser, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren; step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services with military honors are scheduled for 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Everyone is welcome.
