Roy Ordell Orsborn Sr.

Roy Ordell Orsborn Sr., 74, passed away on Nov. 11, 2010.

He was born March 23, 1936 in Mapton, Wash., to Barbara and Raymond C. Orsborn. He moved to Libby in 1944 and attended grade school, where he met the love of his life, Elvina Jean Billadeau. They married Jan. 3, 1957.

Elvina passed away last year just a few days before their 53rd wedding anniversary. Together they had five children and adopted one. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-58 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was very proud to spend four years and 11 days serving his country.

Roy enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking his kids on hikes and bingo on Tuesdays. But most of all, he loved shooting the gab with anyone.

Roy is survived by his sister, Darlene Goake; children, Ray Elmer and wife Tammy of Libby; Roy and wife Marilyn of Kalispell; Theresa Cox and husband Brian of Troy; Peggy Rayome and husband Ken of Libby; Dale Orsborn of Libby; and Ted and Iwa Maner of Hawaii; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 14 from 1-5 p.m. at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Services will be Monday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
