The Montana Food Bank Network recently

announced that the Troy Community Baptist Church Food Pantry will

receive a chest freezer from the 2010 Partner Agency Capacity

Building Mini-Grant.

The mini-grant program is designed to

help emergency food providers partnered with the Montana Food Bank

Network increase access to food and nutrition for low-income

residents by increasing their capacity.

With the freezer, the church’s food

pantry will improve its ability to receive and store food from the

network and other sources.

The mini-grant program was made

possible through funds from the Montana Department of Public Health

and Human Services. The Montana Food Bank is a statewide nonprofit

anti-hunger organization based in Missoula.
