Baucus to help kick off CARD project

Sen. Max Baucus plans to host a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, March 31 at the Center for Asbestos Related Disease in Libby.

The ceremony will kick off a project that features renovations and additions to the current clinic. The event, open to all, will begin at 1:30 p.m., at the clinic behind the current structure (Third Street and Louisiana Avenue).

Several other public officials were invited to the event, including Sen. Jon Tester and Rep. Denny Rehberg. Among the community leaders invited were mayors Doug Roll of Libby and Don Banning of Troy, Lincoln County commissioners Tony Berget, John Konzen and Marianne Roose, state representatives Gerald Bennett and Chas Vincent and state senator Aubyn Curtiss.

An open reception will follow the ceremony with the opportunity to tour the clinic and view new building plans.
