Charlotte Hasslen

Charlotte Hasslen, 43, passed away July 12, 2010 at her home in Aloha, Oregon.

Charlotte was a graduate of Libby High School, where she was active in track. She then attended a Christian college in Boise, Idaho. She loved sky diving, biking, running, hiking, golfing and playing Yahtzee and cribbage with her friends. She worked in medical insurance for many years and was manager for Professional Relations for ODS Companies for insurance and business services.

Charlotte had one son with her ex-husband, Kevin Hasslen. They were married in Boise, Idaho and then moved to the Portland area where she has lived most of her adult life. Her son, Ian, has been the primary focus of her life. Her dog, Sadie, was a great companion for her after Ian grew up and left home. She and Sadie shared many enjoyable walks. Jon Thompson had become a loved companion.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa.

Charlotte is survived by son, Ian, of Beaverton, Ore.; mother, Mary Tevebaugh of Libby; father, Forrest Tevebaugh of Emmett, Idaho; two brothers, Timothy Tevebaugh of Craigmont, Idaho; and Clifford Tevebaugh and partner Donna Reid of Terrebonne, Ore.; two sisters, Kari Martell and partner Tom Vanderweel of Libby; and Dhana Nelson of Columbia Falls and Jeff Nelson of Hungry Horse; nieces and nephews, Jana Martell, Dustin Martell, Brandon Martell, Austen Nelson, Lindsey Nelson and Erika Nelson; aunts and uncles, Shirley Swenson of Hawaii; and Gary and David Swenson and Linda Schikora – all of Libby; and numerous cousins. She was loved and will be missed by many friends.

A memorial service attended by more than 250 people was held July 16 in Aloha, Ore.
