Boys Basketball: Troy wins back-to-back OT games
Ryan Rayson’s free throws and Jake Alexander’s 3-pointers proved to be key components in Troy’s 64-54 overtime victory on Thursday night over Thompson Falls.
Rayson sank 11-of-13 foul shots as part of a 22-point night for the Trojans. Alexander’s 15 points included five in overtime and three 3-pointers. Brian Hammrich also hit double figures with 10 points.
Troy led 29-25 at halftime and the game was tied by the time the fourth quarter started. The Trojans controlled the OT to win running away.

The Troy High School boys basketball team went into overtime for the second straight game for a 64-56 victory on Saturday over Superior.
After downing Thompson Falls in OT on Thursday, the Trojans followed up with a 64-56 win over Superior on Saturday. Trent Cratty had a big night with 16 points and Ryan Rayson finished with 16 – including a 5-for-6 performance at the free-throw line in OT.
Kody Hoffman and Dillon Curry also hit double figures for THS with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Troy (4-2, 7-5) plays host to Plains on Friday with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Trojans head to Noxon for a 6 p.m. game.
