Sports Update: Troy girls lose at home to Plains

The Troy High School girls basketball staged a late rally but couldn't climb out of the hole in a 45-33 loss to Plains.

Trailing 40-23 midway through the fourth, the Lady Trojans went on a 10-0 run in just over a minute of clock time to make things interesting. Allie Maestas scored 14 points and hit four 3-pointers, including three from beyond the arc in the fourth.

Heather Earhart led the Trotters with 16 points.
