Girls Basketball: Mee-less Loggers fall to Glacier
The Libby High School girls basketball team’s offense struggled offensively on Saturday in a nonconference matchup against Class AA Glacier in Kalispell.
With top scorer Jackie Mee on the bench with a sprained wrist, the Lady Loggers fell by a count of 49-27.
Glacier led 12-9 after the first quarter and pulled away for good with an 11-2 run in the second. Turnovers plagued Libby although the Loggers did win the battle of the boards.
Jaime Gilden scored nine points to lead LHS.
The Lady Loggers (1-2, 5-5) are scheduled to play at Eureka on Thursday and at home against Whitefish on Saturday. The weekend game for the varsity girls is scheduled to tip-off at 4:30 p.m.
