5 Questions: Dolly Blata, Troy High School Student Council President
1. What are some of the primary issues that you are involved with as student council president?
“I deal a lot obviously with what people want to see done with the school. I have to be involved with the school board, I have to deal a lot with dances and planning and just problems throughout the whole school.”
2. Is there any one particular teacher that has meant a lot to you when it comes to your own education?
“Mr. (Tony) Smith … he is my favorite teacher of all-time. I think he could probably teach the history of concrete floors and I would take it and love it.”

“All 12 years … just being a little girl and what that meant – running around and wearing weird clothes and weird makeup and being a little girl.”
4. What do you feel is positive about your education at Troy High School?
“It’s a small town and we get a lot of hands on and 1-on-1 teaching, and our teachers really care about us and how we are because it’s all personal. We all know everyone here, so it’s a lot better when you can get a along with a lot of people.”
5. What plans do you have after graduation and do you know what you would like to do for a profession?
“I’m going to Missoula to do criminology and hopefully come back to Troy or Libby and be a cop and work my way up to head detective in Libby.”
