Letter: Give president's plans a chance

Dear Editor:

Give Obama a chance.

In answer to Rick Maedje’s letter to the editor about the health-care bill that passed by a majority (“’Obamacare’ only makes things worse,” Jan. 1 edition, page 6) … we have a Democratic majority at this time and President Obama has done well for what he inherited under the Republican Party for the last eight years and look where it got us.

My suggestion to all of you who seem to like to bash the president since he got into office should give the man a chance to show what he can do. My goodness, he has not even been in office for a full year.

President Obama is seeking solutions that advance not the interests of any party, or the agenda of any one group, but the aspirations of all Americans, and one of the central goals of this administration is restoring fiscal responsibility.
