Letter: Seeking quick fix to city problems

| January 5, 2010 11:00 PM

Dear Editor:

I have been stunned by the disrespect between the city and county leadership, and history seems to suggest it begins from the administration and flows down. A county commissioner and mayor involving themselves in this type of thing publicly is also revelatory.

It seems a little self-indulgent, but on the business side, inefficient and expensive. Are the taxpayers in Libby willingly paying for this type of thing? Hopefully someone besides D.C. Orr will seek a quick resolution.

I cannot find any community oriented questions or community service relative to the city clerk referenced, and I’m guessing the clerk’s job description requires her to provide the answers and documentation that Councilman Orr is requesting in a timely manner without any drama.

Further, there appears to be a lack of accountability and information from leadership that potentially affects the community on a number of levels. It’s a little surprising more people aren’t challenging the community issues Orr has succinctly raised.
