Wrestling: Libby dominates Whitefish, 76-12
Matt Baldwin/Whitefish Pilot Devin Williams of Libby defeated Jon Sammon at 135 pounds.
The Libby High School wrestling team rolled to a 76-12 dual victory over Whitefish on Saturday.
Devin Williams (135), Kyle Leir (140), Dylan Berget (145), Kody Berget (171), Rigo Ibarra (215) and Lucas Puckett (Hwt) all won on the mat.
Winning by pin for LHS were Williams (3:45), Leir (2:55), Dylan Berget (1:31), Ibarra (1:32) and Puckett (0:59). Kody Berget took his opponent by major decision on a 10-1 count.
Nick O’Dell (152 pounds) and Tanner Benedict (160) had the lone wins for Whitefish.
The Greenchain were credited with seven other victories by forfeit – Ian Edwards-Myslicki (98), Isaac King (105), Levi Erickson (112), Aaron Seefeldt (119), Mike Roby (125), Mitch Haugen (130) and Anthony Garcia (189).
Libby (3-1 in conference duals) will head to Polson on Thursday and to the Western A Duals in Ronan on Friday and Saturday.
