Boys Basketball: Libby takes care of Eureka

The Libby High School boys basketball team built a double-digit lead by halftime and took care of Eureka, 50-27, in a nonconference game on Saturday.

Kelly May led a trio of Loggers to hit double figures offensively with 15 points. Alex Cislo scored 14 and Colton Cannon added 13. LHS connected on four 3-pointers – three by May and one by Cannon.

Libby played exceptional defense by limiting the opponent to four points in the first quarter and five in the second. By the break, the Loggers held a 20-9 advantage.

Ryan Holder led the Lions with seven points. Eureka was just 4-for-15 at the free-throw line.

Eureka falls to 1-5 overall.

Libby (2-3) plays host to Columbia Falls on Thursday. Non-varsity games begin at 4:15 p.m. The Loggers will then host Ronan on Saturday with the varsity to start at around 6 p.m.
