Boys Basketball: LHS falls to Whitefish in regular-season finale

The Libby High School boys basketball team wrapped up regular-season play in the Northwestern A Conference on Thursday night with a 49-40 setback to Whitefish.

The Bulldogs broke the game open in the fourth quarter after leading, 33-31, at the end of three.

Kelly May scored 21 points for LHS, which compiled a 3-5 record in the region. May’s points included four 3-pointers. T.J. Benson had a pair of 3’s and eight points.

Gage Vasquez and Connor Silliker led Whitefish with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Libby (8-10 overall) opens the divisional tourney on Friday against Polson.
