Girls Basketball: LHS beats Ronan by 24

The Libby High School girls basketball team led by seven points at the half and then came out of the game in the third quarter with a 19-3 run en route to a 44-20 victory over Ronan.

LaRona Luscher had one of her top offensive performances with 14 points. Luscher hit a pair of 3-pointers during Libby’s big third quarter.

Jackie Mee also scored 14 for the Lady Loggers.

Ronan got eight pints from Alice VanGunten.

Libby (3-2, 9-5) plays host to Troy on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., during Community Appreciation Night (free admission, prizes). The Lady Loggers will play at home again on Saturday against Polson with the tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
