New dentist begins work in community
Ignite the Nites has certainly impacted
Libby’s local economy with its annual car show, Mineral Avenue
cruising and burn-out contest.
Now, one could say that the event has
led to another benefit – and it involves teeth.
“We had a great time,” said Dr. Eric C.
Simpson, a new Libby dentist who said he became interested in the
community after attending Ignite the Nites with friends. “I think
it’s the best car show that we’ve been to.”
Simpson is joining the practice of Dr.
David Swanson, who plans to continue being available for
consultaton.
Simpson worked as an associate dentist
in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for the past six years and before that,
performed dentistry under his own practice for 30 years in Juneau,
Alaska.
He enjoys hunting and fishing,
tinkering with old cars and riding motorcycles with friends.
Simpson said he looks forward to the
slower pace of a small town.
“Coeur d’Alene has gotten bigger than I
really enjoyed,” he said.
Simpson began working in Libby this
week and continues to accept new patients. New procedures that
Simpson brings to the office includes root canals and
extractions.
“I’m excited about moving to Libby and
being in business here,” he said. “I really like the town, and
people have been super friendly.”
