Lonnie Parker

Lonnie Parker, 72, died Nov. 11, 2010

in Bothell, Wash., where he and his wife lived briefly to be closer

to the VA hospital and their “heart son,” Mark Smith.

Lonnie was born June 11, 1938 in

Venice, Calif. He served 25 years combined in the Air Force and

Army and achieved the rank of chief warrant officer, level 4.

His wife, Linda, and son, Wylon, along

with Lonnie, have all been longtime residents of Libby. Linda plans

to return to Libby to live permanently when their affairs are

settled on the coast.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Linda

Parker; numerous “heart children” who came to live with the family

over the years; two biological sons, Markus Parker of Vancouver,

Wash., and Wylon Parker of Libby and their wives; and four

grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at

Libby Christ Lutheran Church on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. All who

wish to remember him or his family are welcome.
