Lady Trojans fall to Stillwater in season opener
The Troy High School girls basketball
team opened the season on Friday in Eureka against an exceptional
Stillwater Christian squad. The Cougars erupted early to take a
20-3 lead by the end of the first quarter en route to a 53-16
victory.
The Lady Trojans scored no more than
five points in any quarter. Stillwater Christian, a Kalispell-based
school, led 33-8 at halftime.
Jordan Williams led Troy scorers with
six points.
Morgan Poolini scored 17 and Jordan
Danz had 13 for the Cougars.
Troy (0-0, 0-1) was scheduled to play
at home on Tuesday against Thompson Falls. The girls play at home
again on Thursday against Noxon. Tip-off is scheduled for
approximately 7:30 p.m. THS will also play at 6 p.m. on Saturday at
Superior. Troy plays at home again on Monday at 6 p.m., vs.
Plains.
