Poor weather conditions wiped out several scheduled sporting events involving Libby and Troy on Tuesday.

Events that were either cancelled or postponed include Libby at Ronan softball, Troy vs. Deer Lodge (at Plains) softball, Libby track at Kalispell Time Trials and Clark Fork, Idaho at Troy boys and girls tennis.

The Lady Loggers are scheduled to play at home against Whitefish on Saturday with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. Libby will then play at home on Tuesday against Ronan with the varsity game to start at 2 p.m.

Following the two homes games on Saturday and Tuesday, the Libby girls are not scheduled to play at Remp Field again until the season finale on May 21.

The Lady Trojans softball team was scheduled to play a Thursday afternoon game at Mission. Troy heads to Plains on Monday for a doubleheader and will host Eureka on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Both the Libby and Troy track squads head to the Bigfork Invitational on Saturday. On Tuesday, the Loggers host a dual with Columbia Falls at 3 p.m.

The LHS tennis teams were slated to compete on Thursday in Whitefish and will then head to the Cut Bank Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Troy’s tennis dual against Clark Fork was rescheduled for Thursday. The Trojans will host Valley Christian on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Libby American Legion baseball team opens its season on Saturday, April 24 against the Bitterroot Red Sox. The Western News plans to publish a team preview in its April 23 edition.
