Power outage planned for Troy area

A six-hour early morning power outage will impact Troy-area residents and businesses on Thursday, April 15, Northern Lights Inc., announced.

Bonneville Power Administration is planning an outage that will affect Northern Lights Inc., customers in Lincoln County from the county line with Sanders County on Highway 56 up to the Highway 2 intersection, the Yaak River and Kootenai Falls. Also, all City of Troy customers will be affected.

The duration of the planned outage will run from midnight to 6 a.m.

Officials said that BPA requires the outage to work on the Troy substation to perform equipment maintenance. NLI, the City of Troy and BPA scheduled the outage during the early morning hours to minimize impact to customers.
