Letter: A few points on Libby 'seceding'

| April 1, 2010 12:00 AM

Dear Editor:

A friend of mine died last year.

He was a fine man, full of courage; a huge man in what he knew and could teach. He had PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) from his service as a Navy pilot in Vietnam.

He had a serious heart condition, a bad back, a tumor, badly healed and recently broken bones. The Veterans Affairs had prescribed addictive pain killers. To replace the pharmaceuticals, he obtained his medical marijuana card.

Let’s not forget the patients while Libby is seceding from Montana.

Ron Carter
