John W. Basham

John W. Basham, 64, died July 17, 2009 in Portland, Ore.

He was born Aug. 28, 1944 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, the youngest son of William A. Basham and Alice (Van Dyke) Basham. He was raised in Troy and graduated from Troy High School in 1962.

He was known as the guy to go to for tools, knowledge and help.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carolyn; brothers, Robert and wife Joan Basham of Apple Gate, Ore.; and Donald and wife Shirley Basham of Estacada, Ore.; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members from Portland to Troy.

Memorial services will be held at Milnor Lake Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 19 at noon.  A potluck will follow.
