Boys Soccer: Loggers shutout Columbia Falls

The Libby High School boys soccer team opened play in the Northern A on Saturday with a 4-0 shutout at Columbia Falls.

Crawford Dinning scored two goals and Nick Reny recorded three assists in the victory.

The game remained in a scoreless deadlock through most of the first half until Dinning found the back of the net in the 37th minute. In the second half, Libby followed up with goals by Marco Vences and Dinning – both on assists from Reny.

Cree Maloney completed the scoring with a goal in the 70th minute off an assist from Talus Martin.

Lewis Brossman had four saves in goal to record the shutout. Libby held a 21-4 advantage in shots on goal.

The Loggers (3-1) will play at Bigfork on Thursday.
